Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the ART document includes 1,819 tariff lines covering both agricultural and industrial products that will benefit from zero tariffs in the US market.
“These include palm oil, coffee, cocoa, spices, rubber, electronic components including semiconductors, and aircraft parts, all subject to zero tariffs,” he said, as quoted by from the Cabinet Secretariat on Saturday (21/2/2026).
Textile and apparel products will also receive zero tariffs through the tariff rate quota (TRQ) mechanism, potentially benefiting around four million workers in the sector.
Indonesia has also committed to granting zero tariffs on key US agricultural imports such as wheat and soybeans to maintain domestic price stability for food industry raw materials.
Both countries agreed not to impose customs duties on electronic transmissions in line with World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments.
The agreement is expected to take effect 90 days after legal procedures are completed in both countries, including consultations with Indonesia’s House of Representatives.
Airlangga described the agreement as part of efforts to achieve Indonesia’s Golden Vision, calling it a “new golden age” for both nations.
